Jordan Evans had to leave the game because of a targeting call which was confirmed under replay. But was it really targeting? (No)
Was it Targeting?:
In my personal opinion, Ford is our best RB. To find out why, watch the video breakdown below!
All 3 are so good, but I’d give a slight edge to Ford over the other two. He had single digit carries, yet had 2 TD’s (neither were on the goalline either) and the highest avg per carry.
Ford is the best of both Ross and Perine without either of their limitations. I think Ross may understand the plays better, but Ford does really well has good vision and doesn’t allow arm tackles to slow him down (unlike Ross). He and Perine both get yards after contact, but Ford has a burst unlike either of the other two backs. He accelerates so quickly and powerfully and has an absolutely WICKED spin move!
Ross may have better top end speed (not sure), but Ford is fast enough to take it to the house. Plus, Ford is really good catching the football as is evidenced by his great catch on the seam route in the 3rd quarter. Ross seems to have good hands as well, but we’ll see if he can catch a deep ball down the field like Ford did.
I imagine Ford plays at a different level in games than he does in practice! If this continues, I would expect Ford to eventually get the majority of the carries in big games.
